You can use the same registry tweaks for Windows Mobile 6.5. as it is essentially the same as Windows Mobile 6.1 but with a different interface. The real question you should be asking is how will Windows Mobile 7 handle Asian Languages? That, I do not know.

To revert back: 1) remove the SystemLink, and FontLink registry entries 2) set SYSFNT back to your default, most likely Tahoma

The korean text showed up fine without a problem but the Opera Mobile Browser that comes with HTC diamond got all screwed up. not a single page viewed from opera has english on it and the characters are all a bunch of symbols and signs. please help. i would like to know how to reverse the process as well just in case i mess things up in the future. thanx

I am new to tweaking smartphones. Where is the registery file located, the name of the file? And if I mess up the registery file, what is the best way to recover the system? I thought I find out how to recover from my mistakes before I mess up big time! Thank you.

Hi

I need help with the opposite.

I have a korean omnia sph 8400 with windows mobile 6.1 and I would like to add the capability of changing the language of the system to english without resetting the whole device to loose all the network specific setings, applications etc.

however in the regional options in settings, there is only options for the numeric system, time /date, monetary system etc... no language change option.

any ideas?

Thanks for the article.

Since you published this in 2008, has there been any significant improvements in support for Korean fonts on Windows Mobile devices?

I have recently got a Windows Mobile 6.5 and haven't yet tried these steps. Are the steps and tools refered to in this article likely to have changed much?

I hate my navigation system on my 2007 Mercedes. It is so archaic. I could get killed entering data on the highway. It was archaic by the end of the year in 2007. The cursor system is ridiculous. Is there anyway to rip it out and add a new one. If so, where can I find one to fit into the body of my Mercedes without ruining the dash. I love the entertainment package with the Sirius and Surround sound but the Navigation has got to go. DVD Command Navigation Cost me $2,210 at purchase.

I have two font files
Futura LT Condensed Light (for normal)

How can I set them up using font link methods.

(I tried renaming them to segoe.ttf and segoeb.ttf but those files are in use by my Windows Mobile OS. (WM6.1 i am using on my smartphone)
