When I had WM5 installed on my AT&T 8525 (Hermes), I enjoyed the pleasure of sending text messages to email addresses (which, to the recipient, appeared like email). More, I enjoyed receiving email to my text message address from such recipients.

However, when I upgraded to WM6, this feature was apparently disabled. To restore this feature on AT&T WM6 phones, add the following registry values using a registry editor:

AllowSMStoSMTPConcatenation=1 (DWORD decimal)
AllowSMStoSMTPAddress=1 (DWORD decimal)
SMStoSMTPShortCode=121 (STRING VALUE)
