If you decide to sojourn in the back country of Afghanistan, home of the Taliban, trusting in nothing but the grace of God, then you should be prepared to face the consequences of your actions.
If you are caught by the Taliban and face execution then there are only two logical conclusions you can draw, either of which you must necessarily accept.
One, God has decided it is time for you to die. If you are truly the ardent Christian, then accept your death without tears or sorrow. So too direct your families and friends. God’s will be done.
Two, you were foolish enough to arm yourself with only a book of ancient fictions before entering a war zone. Your genes, which produced your cognitive impairments and inability to discern fantasy from reality, will be blessedly selected out of the human gene pool as you meet your deserved fate. Darwin’s will be done.
Mine is not a black heart. I just have no compassion for the stupid. How presumptuous to think you can trespass in another man’s home and preach to him with impunity. Even the perverted Roman Catholics had the sense to accompany conquistadors.
As for you silly Christians with ideas of missionary work, do the world a favor and stay at home. The real world is a far cry from Sunday lunches, bowling alley parties, and ice cream socials. If you’re not ready to die for your God, then stick to Friday night fellowships and indoctrinating the young and impressionable in Bible study. Espouse safer delusions and save your families and your governments needless grief.
