Which is the best? I think the one in the upper left, also known as Windows 6.1. Why? Because there is actually some useful information presented on it. Based on what time it is, that screen will immediately tell me what I need to be doing or where I need to be.
All the others are absolutely useless in this regard. They tell me absolutely nothing unless I pull my finger out of my nose and wipe it across the screen to scroll here or press there. How many emails I have, how many appointments I have that day, how many text messages I have? Who cares as long as there is greater than 0? You’ll check it even if it says 1. Duh, I’ll check it too. With all these screens scoring 0 points for utility, Windows 6.1 gets +1 for actually telling me something useful. |
