Joke of the Day…

Which female celebrity likes to receive colonoscopies the most?

Cameron Diaz…

Thanks to my Vietnamese friend, Anh Le, for pronouncing the name so beautifully.

Our Roomba 535

I had my doubts like everyone else. I’ve seen the videos. I’ve read the reviews. But, come on… its a little circular robot. How well could it possibly clean? After two weeks with this robot, let me tell you, it does a phenomenal job — particularly with hair. I own a Dyson and a Roomba and I examine, very carefully, everything that each vacuum cleaner picks up. I kid you not, the Roomba manages to pick up carpet fibers and other debris just as well as the Dyson. I’ve run the Dyson over carpet after the Roomba and there isn’t anything left for the Dyson to pick up. What I particularly enjoy about the Roomba is its ability to pick up long hair. Normally, long hair ends up wrapped around the brushes of the Dyson. However, on the Roomba, the hair accumulates in such a fashion that it is really easy to remove. This may be, in part, due to the fact that the brushes are so easy to remove and clean on the Roomba. Most importantly, the Dyson is completely automatic. All you have to do is press the “Clean” button and empty the bin upon completion. It really is that simple. Lately, I’ve been using the Dyson more for sucking up dust than for vacuuming. The Roomba is my daily go-to device for cleaning. Woot.com had a special on the 535 for $150. I was on call in the MICU and stumbled across the deal. When I called home to tell Tiff to purchase one, she thought I was nuts. But, she did. The Roomba is definitely one of the best purchases we have ever made.

ODX!!!

Does anyone else remember this little Papa Smurf creature from Buck Rogers? Hahaha… ODX baby. You’re not a sci-fi freak unless you recognize. Yeah, and that birdman is Hawk.
